On February 3, Dr Miller spoke to a group of dentists on new technologies in the field of orthodontics. Dentists from as far away as Russia attended this conference. The group had CE on various topics during the week.

Dr. Robert Miller first earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from Clemson University in 1979.He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from The Medical University of South Carolina.Dr. Miller earned his position as an orthodontist when he completed an orthodontic residency at The Medical College of Virginia in 1985.
Upon becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Miller gave three years serving our country in the USAF as Chief of Orthodontics on Clark Air Base in the Phillippines. After completing his military service, he began practicing orthodontics in Culpeper, VA in 1988. He became Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 1992, an accomplishment atained by only 25% of all orthodontists after long rigourous evaluation by peers. Dr. Miller also served as the president of the Virginia Association of Orthodontics for several years. Dr. Miller has always been a pioneer in the field of orthopedic correctors and orthodontic appliances. After developing the revolutionary Flip Lock™ Herbst device using CAD/CAM technology in the early 1990s, Dr. Miller has continued to innovate. In recent years, he has worked closely with Dr. Duncan Higgins, developer of the Crossbow™ device, in expanding its use as an effective method for overbite correction.
